Stayed at this beautifully decorated, cosy cottage for a few days. Convenient location, close to city center and beach. Welcoming hosts, fully equipped with nice touches like a good library and toiletries. Loved the outdoor space, different from hotels. Perfect base for exploring the area, visiting white sand beaches like Collieston and Newburgh, and taking a bus to Ballater for a walk. Vintage vibes made the stay even better. The location couldn't have been better for us. Just a short walk from the bus station, it made getting to the accommodation a breeze. Plus, it was a great base for exploring the surrounding area and the town itself. Another thing we loved about the accommodation was how homely it felt. It had a cozy, comfortable atmosphere that made us feel right at home. And the little touches, like the well-stocked library and toiletries, added to the overall charm.
One downside of the layout was that the noise traveled easily. If someone was up early or late at night, everyone could hear them.

Despite the negatives, there were a few positive aspects to our experience. The cottage was beautifully decorated and had a cozy atmosphere, which we appreciated. The location was also a highlight, as it was conveniently situated close to the city center and the beach boulevard. This made it easy for us to explore both areas without any hassle. Lastly, the hosts were welcoming and helpful, which added to our overall experience.
The cottage felt quite cold and damp due to the drafts. It was definitely not pleasant to be shivering and feeling the moisture in the air.

We loved the central location of this accommodation. Everything we wanted to see and do was just steps away, from the city center to the train and bus stations, and even the beach. It reminded me of the best of both worlds, being surrounded by city life yet feeling secluded and peaceful inside. One of our favorite features was the outdoor space, a rarity in hotels or other apartments. We enjoyed the convenience of having a fully equipped kitchen, although we wished there was a larger dining table. Despite this minor inconvenience, we could imagine how perfect it would be to dine al fresco in the small garden during the summer months. The cottage served as an ideal base for exploring nearby attractions such as Collieston and Newburgh beaches, as well as taking a bus to Ballater and exploring the beautiful Deeside. we highly recommend this comfortable and well-located accommodation for a nice stay.
